A predominantly Venezuelan bakery with Argentine facturas, and a vast sandwich menu (two Cubans). This is your place to get the cachito/arepa/empanada/tequeño/golfeado fix in the Aventura/Sunny Isles area. And good thing too! The tequeños were tasty (even those a day old and at discounted prices surprisingly - just heat them up in a pan at home), pan dulce (?) were thin and had raisins. The empanada was good - good corn dough and cheese as well. The cachito tasted standard in a good way. I had those four things, plus a cappuccino and it came out to be less than $10. Can we say AMEN together, please? (Plus, they'd overlook the $10 minimum requirement to use the credit card if you order all this ;-)) So yup, you have it... now you know that at least in Miami-Dade, every 60-100 streets, you can find a Venezuelan bakery. Oh, and before I forget, the added bonus is this shopping strip has a Peruvian & Colombian restaurants, two Russian markets, a Russian bookstore. Ethnic diversity and more good eats is enough for me to get me to come back! And as far as "Manhattan" being in the name of the place, this is the part of Miami where the love affair with New York seems to be the strongest - but has nothing to do with things American. There's also a New York deli nearby and all they serve is East European goods. Oh well, c'est la vie Miamense! NOTE: Comparison with Moises: bigger and newer looking establishment - and more crowded - the line went out the door when I was here but not at Moises. But Moises has slightly more products in their market. That may be changing though as Manhattan is expanding and/or renovating.

Manhattan International Bakery is located 1/4 mile south of Golden Beach, FL. It has excellent coffee and baked goods. The sandwiches are also very good. I give them 5 stars. By Gregg L. Friedman MD, Psychiatrist, Hallandale Beach, FL

Found this place by accident and have been back every morning! Interesting selection of Venezuelan pastries and lunch items. Everything I tried was good but I can't remember what they were called! Service was a little slow but they are very busy in the morning.

The food is good, but I won't say great, the empanadas and Venezuelan tequenos were good, try the garlic sauce on them, also the juices they make are very healthy

Located in Sunny Isles "Little Moscow" strip mall. Nice bakery, good selection of baked goods and friendly service. Ironically, its located right next to another bakery "Granier" which also looks nice.

I popped in here one morning on my way out of town to grab a cafe con leche and a beef empanada. The service was kind of slow even though I was the only one there, but she was nice and polite. It took her a while to make the coffee compared to other places I go. The coffee though was good and the empanada was delicious. The prices were decent.

I came here looking for Venezuelan arepas and empanadas. I read reviews about how great the food is and was very optimistic about it. I got there and felt lost because it's small and there isn't easy access to a menu right when you come in. The menu is at the counter in front of the register and and there are options so i didn't like that i couldn't take my time to read the menu. Also, there's no full table service so you gota make the line, order and then they will bring the food to you. Usually this is fine, but when it's a small space and lots of people, it's not ideal because you can't get the menu while in line. Anyways, aside from that, the empanadas were delicious, the coffee was on point, i tried a fruit smoothie and it was delicious and the scrambled eggs (i went for breakfast) were very good. The arepas need some work. The people in the counter were nice and friendly. What threw me off was that when i came in and i saw a waitress serving some food, i asked if she took orders at the table and she said no. Then when i was sitting outside, there was a small group of guys sitting across from me and she came and took their order and brought them water and gave them a full service. So i asked her why i couldn't get full service and she said "these guys are regulars and always come here so they are the only ones that we give full service to." That just blew my mind.

Minimal selection but what they had was good. Got a beef empanada that was tasty with great dough. Service was incredibly slow though

I was in Miami about a month ago, but i do not remember this place, sorry guys. I checked in, so i must have been there. That means it did not impress me and it did not piss me off ( which is always a good thing).

Amazing coffee and staff are nice. I go almost everyday for coffee. It's expensive, but on par with prices throughout Sunny Isles Beach. If you are thinking of spending Starbucks kind of money, you might as well come here.

4.5 Great food. DC doesn't have this kind of empanada selection and the service was outstanding considering how Miami tends to be. Pricing is a bit higher than I prefer for an empanada but otherwise, great choice for a warm Argentinian emp.

I was going to be in the area, so I checked out the businesses here on line. I noticed the Manhattan Bakery & checked to see the Yelp reviews. All the positive comments made me check it out for myself. I loved the chocolate croissant and it was super cheap from the day old basket. Nice.

Went today looking for the Classic Venezuelan " Pan de Jamon" and did not mind waiting 20 min for it to be out of the oven! Delicious, perfect ratio of ham, olives and raisins! We usually make our own but this one for sure it's one we'll go back to buying! Took home also a little bit of " ensalada de gallina" which was really good and fresh. While we waited had tequeños and they were really good as the rest of the items we got. The owner greeted us together with the staff really nice and friendly. Going back for sure to try more!

Extremely overpriced. They never have the fresh orange or carrot juice they have on the menu. Salads are not good. Staff is not courteous. It's a beautiful looking place. But, not a preference for eating in.

We loved this place! Great filled Venezuelan arepas, pan de bonos, cheese sticks even the cookies were great! The juice was fresh squeezed and great. The ladies were super nice and offered my son a cookie before we even ordered. We will definitely be back!

We usually go there on Sundays for Breakfast and they have the most amaaaaazing arepas ever. The arepas themselves are very tasty and the different fillings they have make them that much more delicious. The chicken one is divine.

Anyone looking for authentic Venezuelan (or Columbian) food, this is a place to go. The arepas and empanadas are SO authentic. I felt like I was sitting in Venezuela. They have queso de mano (a venezuelan cheese). The prices are fair. They also have good sandwiches and salads. The coffee is fantastic as well and there is a nice selection of baked goods/pastries to choose from as a treat. The best part of this place is Angelica, who is unbelievably kind. She always makes you feel welcome and once or twice I've thought about ordering pastry but she suggests another one that is more fresh. She remembers peoples names and is an absolute delight. Thank you Angelica!

Quick and easy. Not spectacular but if you are in a rush and want a breakfast priced under $10 with some Cuban coffee this is your place. We ordered take out bagel sandwiches and some coffee, bill was $21. It's located right across the street from the Trump Int'l as well, so if you are staying there, it's a quick eat!

I really did like this place a lot. 1. Guava pastries, 5 stars: soft, flakey, not really sweet, so good. 2. Chocolate croissant, 3.5 stars: chocolate was great but was way heavier than it needed to be. 3 Cuban expresso, 6 stars: I know this is not possible but it was the best I have ever had. 4 fresh orange juice, 4 stars: great but a bit overpriced. I wish it was a bit less expensive.

Located in a nondescript RK shopping center in Sunny Isles, Manhattan Bakery is definitely a hidden gem along the Collins strip. It would be a great place to grab some food to take with you to the beach. I had a decent sampling of the Venezuelan specialties on the menu. The arepas came with a variety of stuffings, including carne mechada, pernil and also a variety of cheeses, like Gouda, Queso Guyanesa, and Queso Paisa. The arepa itself was a little dry, but they have a tangy guasacaca that you could add for flavor and moisture (Guasacaca is an avocado and garlic based sauce from Venezuela, this one seemed to have mayo in it). The highlight for me was the Spinach Cachito, which was rich and creamy with plenty of spinach flavor as well. We ended up getting two more. The tequenos were good and the pan de queso was also tasty. The pollo empanada was fine but not special. Service was very accommodating and friendly, I definitely recommend stopping by for a snack or an inexpensive lunch.

Manhattan International Bakery is one of my favorite stops at the Sunny Isles strip mall at 18240 Collins avenue. They offer many South American dishes -- arepas, salads, sandwiches, bagels, pastries, smoothies, and numerous varieties of coffees. But any casual passerby or serious consumer at Manhattan International Bakery knows that it is all about their 'cup of Joe.' Cortadito. Colada. Espresso, American coffee etc. My favorite is the dark cortadito. There are times I also indulge a pastry (or two?) or an egg with cheese sandwich, but realistically that fresh coffee bean taste is my main draw. Snowbirds and vacationers frequent this spot, taking up seating area while discussing politics, taxes, and their cumulative health problems. But seating is usually available, just don't forget your noise-cancelling headphones.
